After many years of hard saving, I booked my holiday on the sunny island of Kol, which is situated in the Mediterranean.
Since I set off, however, things have gone from bad to worse!

There was a strike by baggage staff at the airport, which delayed my flight and when I arrived in the middle of the night, I was so tired that I slept for about 48 hours. Despite the fact that the island holds the record for sunshine, the rain has been torrential and most areas of the island are flooded.

When I awoke this morning, I found that the island has been invaded by the troops of the Emperor of Holuria, who is reputed to be hiding somewhere on the island. The radio station has been taken over by the troops who are putting out the message that unless the famed Diamond of Kol is delivered to the Emperor himself, he will explode a nuclear bomb and destroy the island in 150 minutes.

I seem to be one of the only inhabitants left alive and unless I am quick, he is likely to carry out this threat!
