HELICHOPPER - FIREBIRD SOFTWARE LTD They gave you a Helichopper and told you to rescue the Clones - but they didn't tell you about the Creatures from the Swamp! it'll take a real macho-micro megalomaniac to fight through these 23 no-holds-barred screens of fast arcade action and spectacular graphics! Yeah! KEYBOARD or JOYSTICK HELICHOPPER (c) TONY BECKWITH THE GAME Craft available: One fast moving, armed Helichopper. Weaponry: Unlimited supply of bombs. Screens: 23 (each with a time limit). Lives: Five (with an extra life for every four screens survived). Mission: Rescue the Clones from the steamy, swarming Swamp. Tactics: On each screen a number of Clones must be located and flown out - one at time. To do this, land your chopper at the Electric Fence and when one of those little chaps climbs aboard whisk him to the safety of the ledges (where he will disembark when the next ledge up is white). Threats: The Creatures of the Swamp. Some multiply when bombed, others will launch rocks at your craft (you didn't expect this to be E-A-S-Y!), some are heat-seeking Dollopoids who'll track you down (you can breath a sign of relief while parked at the Fence). All Swamp Creatures are deadly on contact. PLAYING THE GAME When the game has loaded you will be offered a choice of playing controls. To redefine keyboard controls, or use a joystick other than Kempston, simply select the redefine option and, when prompted, press the key of your choice (or move the joystick in the direction indicated). Standard keys: Cursor keys (for up, down, left and right) and 0 (for FIRE). A CHEAT MODE is available on HELICHOPPER - entered by holding down 3, 7, 9 and 0 when the main title page (with its spinning discs) is displayed, All you need to do is enter one of the passwords ...
